Description of Practice:
I see many patients who have stress because of the pain issues they are facing, whether it be from trauma, accident or illness. I have also worked with those facing end of life issues, and learned how to apply acupuncture and Oriental medicine to support and relax the patient, while addressing the pain or symptoms they are dealing with. I have done adjunctive treatments with those undergoing chemotherapy, helping with the side effects.

My practice is located in the heart of downtown Portland, so I also work with those who have a full business life, and offer early morning and Saturday appointments. I am interested in learning more about other disciplines in order to effectively refer my patients, so that they can have the best all around care available I am on most insurance panels that offer acupuncture.

I have experience working with patients who are in withdrawal from alcohol, drug or medication abuse, having done an externship at Cri-Help in Los Angeles (where auricular acupuncture was combined with guided meditation). Many times patients need help with the side effects of their pain medications and traditional herbal formulas are useful to address digestive and sleep problems.
Besides acupuncture, my treatments can also include Shiatsu, JinShin Do (light acupressure), herbal formulas and dietary and exercise suggestions. Time is spent in discussion with the patient determining a treatment plan based on their constitution.
