Description of Practice:
Aquatic Healing Arts is a holistic health care practice specializing in Aquatic Therapy including Watsu® and Aquatic Integration™. Personalized treatment in a warm pool provides wide-ranging benefits for both wellness and rehabilitation.
Watsu® and Aquatic Integration™ incorporate the stretches, pressure point massage and principals of Shiatsu with supported floatation, and passive movement through warm water. There is an experience of deep relaxation and well-being. The body is freed from stiffness and the pain cycle is interrupted. This pain-free window of experience and movement, impossible on land, can be transformative and is an effective tool in pain management.
Aquatic Physical Therapy may also include active therapeutic exercise, functional mobility training, and education to improve posture, balance and coordination, depending on the needs of the individual.
Medical referrals are welcome but not required. Coordination with other health care providers is available to ensure continuity of care. Insurance billing is provided.
