Description of Practice:
Namita Gandhi is a Clinical Exercise Physiologist at the Integrative Movement Clinic Inc. (IMC) in Albany, Oregon. She is also the founder and the president of the IMC.
Namita has designed the MoveBeyondPain® (MBP) program for chronic pain management. The MBP program is based on her award winning research now co-published in peer reviewed journals. As a holistic non-pharmacological approach to healing chronic pain, the MBP program has also been featured on the Discovery® Health Channel special—Fibromyalgia: Diagnosis to Treatment—to educate doctors and other health professionals.
She has not only shared her MBP program with people in chronic pain but she has also presented this program to over 1000 health practitioners --from major hospitals and clinics all over the United States and abroad. For clinicians who are interested in teaching the MBP program in their own communities, she also offers the Clinician Certification Training.
Namita is always searching for creative ways to help people move again--in-spite of their pain and biomechanical limitations. Her clinical experience (including work at a cardiac and pulmonary rehabilitation program), her strong educational background, her personal experience with chronic pain and fibromyalgia combined with her extensive exposure to holistic health topics, have given her a unique perspective in effectively managing chronic pain. The primary goal of her therapy is to improve the quality of life of people with chronic pain by empowering them. Helping people with chronic pain is her true passion and specialty.
