Description of Practice:
Willamette Pain Management in an interdisciplinary medical pain management clinic consisting of physicians, nurse practitioners, nurses, psychologists, and physical therapists. Collaboration outside the immediate clinic includes a broad range of expertise in allied specialties including pharmacists, acupuncturists, massage therapists, chiropractors, naturopaths, dietitians, health educators, and exercise/movement/fitness instructors, ect. By building a broad based team we are able to creatively craft plans of care appropriate to each patient’s needs and self-defined therapeutic goals. Patients are guided in development of self-care strategies for pain management. The goals of therapy beyond pain reduction include improved function, increased activity tolerance, enhancement of overall health and quality of life.
