Description of Practice:
For fifteen years I have worked as a LPN at the University of Oregon Health Center assisting medical providers.  In 1999 I integrated the use of energetic modalities into patient care at the University Health Center.  Doctors, nurse practitioners, and counselors refer patients with chronic pain, fibromyalgia, migraines headaches, anxiety, hypertension and stress management issues.  Energy therapies have been very well received at the UHC. 

In addition, I see a similar client base in my private business, Energy Works!, including assisting patients before and after surgical procedures with energy therapies, visualization, meditation and relaxation techniques.  My intention is to restore harmony and balance to the human energy system while maximizing a person’s healing potential and enhancing their sense of well being.

I teach meditation classes through the UHC Health Education Department and in the community.  With thirty years of nursing, thirty six years of meditation and ten years of energy healing experience I teach a wide variety of meditation and energy balancing techniques.  Beginning and experienced meditators benefit from these classes. 

Research studies have shown that meditation and energy healing can induce the relaxation response which may result in decreased pain, anxiety, hypertension and stress while increasing clarity, focus, creativity and a sense of well being.
