Description of Practice:
Relative to the management of chronic pain, my primary contribution is correcting an atlas subluxation, if one exists. A closed dislocation of the first cervical vertebra has the potential to create pathological conditions leading to chronic pain in any tissue, organ, or system.
Imagine, for a moment, that it is possible to correct the alignment of the entire spine from one place, restoring all of the structure of the body to a normal position. Include in your image the restoration of all of the functions that had been affected by the subluxated spine.
The adjusting procedure developed by the National Upper Cervical Chiropractic Association (NUCCA) can consistently accomplish what no other procedures have been able to show - predictably objective restoration of the entire structure to a normal position.
Although, likely the most effective and technically demanding of all the chiropractic techniques, it is also probably the most comfortable to the patient. Most will not even feel the adjustment. But within a few minutes to days they will notice changes in their symptoms and well-being.
My clinic does accept insurance, and I am a preferred provider for many companies. I am a provider for the major MCO's in Oregon. I can presently only accept new patients on referral from other health care providers or existing patients.
