Description of Practice:
The majority of my practice focuses on spine pain. I perform interventional spinal injections (trans-foraminal epidural steroid injections, facet injection and radiofrequency lesioning, discography and sympathetic blocks), as well as consultation for evaluation and recommendations. I have been in private practice 13 years now, and have recently relocated by practice to Spinal Diagnostics in Tualatin. I feel fortunate to work with such a capable and caring group of providers and assistants. My anesthesia training and pain management fellowship were completed at Dartmouth Medical Center in New Hampshire.
Additional areas of interest include dance medicine, pain and the elderly, cancer pain management, and pain education. I believe strongly in informing our medical colleagues and educating the public about pain management options, and have organized and presented at conferences on Back Pain, Dance Medicine, Pain and the Elderly, Cancer Pain Management and Palliative Care, nursing issues in Pain Management, and pain management terminology for transcription. I have also had the privilege of presenting at the International Association of Dance Medicine and Science in Stockholm, the Conference on Aging, and the Supportive Care in Cancer Conference in Nice.
I view pain management as a "team sport," and am always interested in meeting other providers and practitioners, so that I am aware of additional approaches to pain management for my patients.
