Description of Practice:
Dr. Scott Pengelly has been a licensed psychologist in private practice in Eugene since 1987. He has worked as a school psychologist, in an assistant professor at the University of Oregon, Past Chair of the Oregon Psychological Association Ethics Committee, a clinical medical psychology, and was a sports psychology consultant for the Nike Corporation in eight Olympic games. He has received two Masters and his Ph.D. through the University of Oregon. His practice includes, but is not limited to, behavioral medicine, pain management, biofeedback, sports psychology, individual/marital/family psychology.

Dr. Pengelly also has extensive training and expertise in several specialty areas such as: the use of biofeedback and neurofeedback for chronic pain, PTSD, anxiety, and ADD; sports and performance psychology; as well as severe trauma. He has presented several papers to the Menninger Foundation and has been published in numerous journals and newspapers, including the Wall Street Journal.

In addition to his busy practice, he freely contributes his time doing pro bono work for the community in such areas as: treating patients; speaking to schools; working with students both in high school and college; presenting lectures; facilitating groups, to name but a few activities.
