Description of Practice:
The Rinehart Clinic is a not for profit 501 -c- org. providing ambulatory primary care in north Tillamook County. Our mission is to provide care for all how grace our threshold, regardless of their ability to pay. The clinic, a Federally designated Rural Health Clinic, is staffed by 1.5 physicians and 2 physician assistants. We do not specialize in pain control, but strive to provide excellent pain management for our patients so afflicted.
Dr. Rinehart was born in Everett, Washington but grew up in Manzanita, Oregon, graduating from Neah-Kah-Nie High School. He attended the University of Oregon at Eugene and went to Medical School at the Oregon Health Sciences University, received his Doctor of Medicine in 1972. Dr. Rinehart interned at Tripler Army Medical Center in Honolulu, Hawaii. He did his Family Practice Residency at Madigan Army Medical Center in Tacoma, Washington
Dr. Rinehart is a retired United States Army Lt. Colonel, having served for 22 years. He practiced in Prineville, Oregon from 1978 to 1991 before coming to the Rinehart Clinic in Wheeler, Oregon where he has been since 1992.
Dr. Rinehart states, "I'm grateful to be a member of a community that values health care delivery to all of its members. We do not manage pain for persons out of the local area, only for established patients for whom we are providing primary care."

In order to prevent drug diversion and addiction, the application process is arduous and expensive, and the waiting list is over six months long.
