Description of Practice:
I have a small private practice and also am the doctor for Garden Place, a 12-bed sheltercare residential facility for the chronically mentally ill. In my practice, I largely see adults with a variety of mood and anxiety disorders. It's an integrative practice with an emphasis on non-pharmaceutical modalities including nutritional supplements, psychotherapy, and electro-medicine. (I use the Alpha-Stim SCS, a battery-powered alpha-wave generator with earclips that is FDA-approved for anxiety, depression, and insomnia; and the Alpha-Stim 100 for pain.) I offer Rubenfeld Synergy, a body-oriented therapy integrating a Gestalt-based talk therapy with aspects of the Feldenkrais and F.M. Alexander Technique. I also offer consultation for other providers interested in learning more about how to integrate microcurrent stimulation into their practices.
