Description of Practice:
I am the regional clinical specialist in persistent pain for Providence Rehabilitation Services.  I am currently working on program development to establish an integrated biopsychosocial treatment model of pain for the Providence Health System.

In my practice, I use an eclectic approach to treatment, using the neurophysiology of pain as a basis for clinical reasoning in directing treatment, as well as a basis for educating the patient about their experience.  Treatment could include treatment for central sensitization using relaxation training for physiological quieting, kinesthetic awareness work to retrain the sensory homunculus, manual therapy and orthopedic treatment for peripheral sensitization, and treatment for CRPS including mirror box.  I also treat orthopedic patients and vestibular.
