Breeana Van Cott was born in Smithtown, New York. Her family moved to Oak Harbor, Washington when she was four years old, and the Pacific Northwest has been her home ever since.

After high-school, she earned her Bachelors of Science degree in Biology from The Evergreen State College in Olympia, Washington.  It was at Evergreen that she participated in undergraduate research in microbiology and obtained a work study position at the college’s student health center.  It was this, in combination with life experiences and a desire to serve the community that inspired her to pursue a career in medicine.  She continued her gradate education at Pacific University in Forest Grove, Oregon where she earner her Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies. 

Taking into consideration her rural upbringing, she has a strong commitment to the provision of quality health care in rural areas.  It is this commitment, partnered with her love of the Pacific Northwest that brought her to The Rinehart Clinic.
