Description of Practice:
My practice encompasses both medication management and psychotherapy in the treatment of a gambit of psychiatric and psychological problems. Individual psychotherapy is directed toward assisting the patient in developing their intrinsic personal power and coping skills using a variety of therapeutic techniques including cognitive behavioral therapy, supportive treatment and increasing their interpersonal skills. Medicinally, it is important to choose a preparation that addresses the largest number of symptoms, including physical pain, while minimizing the potential of undesirable side effects. I enjoy working collaboratively as a prescribing provider with other therapists and members of the health care network. It is often in the patient's best interest to assume a team approach in their treatment, especially when treating challenging aspects of a person's care, such as chronic pain and ensuing psychological suffering.
